Send Money in Cash To Sri Lanka
The sender (a person who is abroad) goes to a Western Union sub-representative and deposits the money in the name of the receiver in Sri Lanka. Then the sender gets a 10-digit Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN).
The sender informs the receiver of the 10-digit Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) and the amount sent.

Eligibility
- The recipient (Sri Lankan nationals) must have a valid identification issued by the Government of Sri Lanka.
- Foreign nationals should have a valid passport along with a valid visa copy.
- The receiver must have signed the printed form.
- The receiver must have correctly provided all the following information:
- Name of Sender
- Name of the Receiver
- Country from which the money has been sent.
- Expected Amount (approx.)
- MTCN (10-digit ref-number)
